but i'm not a runner!!

This all started with a little thing called a triathlon.

Now that that's over it's back to just trying to work out and be healthy.

BIG NEWS: From now one this site will be a mix of the trials and tribulations of 3 ladies as they strive to be healthy.

day 11

scheduled: 25 min run

whew! i knew there would be tough days but i didn’t expect them to come so soon!

i slept in today because i knew i would have time after work to go to the gym. its the first time in 2 weeks (TWO WEEKS) i haven’t had a social engagement planned for after work. it’s been a fun two weeks but i was looking forward to getting back on my schedule today. 

sometimes when i get home from work i’m tired. sometimes running is hard and muscles are sluggish but usually it just means i’m being lazy and would rather be watching friends in syndication and eating ice cream. today, however, was different. i didn’t even think about being tired. i sat down on the couch to have a snack before my work out (having missed my four o’clocksies). instead of watching 20 min of tv with some cheese and craisins i passed out for an hour. it was like i had been drugged! i guess my body is really trying to tell me to slow down, just a smidge (good luck with that argument, body). 

anyway i got up and ran out the door to the gym before i could let rationalization persuade me into doing something else. 

the run was fine, quick and pretty easy. my feet hurt. stupid bunions. i feel like an old lady with these painful things!

tomorrow:Swimming! great way to start the weekend. must go pack my gym bag for the am.
